Over 500 guests from across the USA, including senators, congressmen, and notable personalities, attended, exchanging greetings and celebrating the spirit of unity. The Sikh community was represented by Dr. Surinder S. Gill of Sikhs of DMV and Devinder Singh Gill, who conveyed warm Diwali wishes to their community. The event saw extensive media coverage, with accredited journalists including Lalit Jha from PTI and Sirmukh Singh Manku from Punjabi media documenting the festivities, capturing the vibrant atmosphere and the White House’s commitment to honoring cultural diversity.

President Joe Biden extended his warm Diwali greetings to everyone, affirming the festival’s significance across communities. Biden also expressed high regard for Vice President Kamala Harris, describing her as a “top choice for the U.S. presidency” due to her intelligence, enthusiasm, and commitment to serving all communities.He quoted farmer’s contributions and says every government must respect them and acknowledge their contribution to the nation.
